VOLT is a new electrical company. we do electrical work and services for domestic, commercial and industrial projects.
Will you design our logo and business card?
logo requirements:
- simple but catchy
- strong and reliable
- dynamic and young
- may be playful
- not too many straight lines, we like things to go round
We might cut the one third of the business card (just to be different) so would be good to have two kinds of business cards: one normal lay out, the second one with no design on the bottom third.
Company description:
VOLT is a new business, we do electrical services and installations, for domestic households or commercial and big industries. It is a young and dynamic company with national and international ambitions. We are reliable, professional, knowledgeable and friendly.
Target group:
Domestic, industrial and commercial. new building projects, renovations, industrial installations
Colors, favourites and other requirements
- Text for logo and business card: VOLT (upper line) elektrische installaties (bottom line)
- Colours: dark blue with beige or gold, adding a third colour is an option
- We need to be able to enlarge the image for car stickers and banners, please foresee a vector graphic design
- two designs for the business card, one where we can cut off the bottom third.
- business card should be very simple (but strong!) on one side, the other side had the contact details
- Possible ideas are:
1. an inverted image with dark blue background
2. using the 'standby' or 'power' symbol; a line partially within a circle
3. something with a cable
4. a thumbs up symbol, replace the thumb by a bulb
5. a moose, the antlers could represent the electricity

Bijgaand met aanpassingen. Wellicht is er met het lampje – want dat vond ik zelf wel geinig – nog iets te doen op bijvoorbeeld de ene zijde van het visitekaartje..?

Deze vind ik beter dan de laatste, leuke, actieve schrijfstijl. Misschien nog iets vereenvoudigen, zo kan het lampje bijvoorbeeld weg?

Dag Aagje,
Gisteren heb ik nog eens goed naar mijn andere logo gekeken dat ik voor jullie heb ontworpen. Met het aan/uit-teken zet je mensen wellicht toch op het verkeerde been. Dat met die eland snap ik eerlijk gezegd ook niet helemaal, en daarbij – het is al een keer gedaan...
Ik ben dus op zoek gegaan naar zaken die meer met elektriciteit zélf te maken hebben. Zo ben ik uitgekomen bij het internationale teken voor wisselspanning, het sinusteken. Dat heb ik vervolgens om een bol (atoom of wereld?) gehangen. De onderkant van het sinusteken vormt de letter V. En dan heb je ineens VOLT. ;-)
Als jullie enthousiast zijn over dit ontwerp of anderszins commentaar hebben, schroom niet!

Een leuke opdracht is dit weer. Spreekt tot de verbeelding... Hierbij mijn eerste voorstel. Strak, simpel, herkenbaar. Dit idee kan uiteraard verder uitgewerkt worden, als u enthousiast bent.

Dank voor je voorstel. We vinden het leuk om het logo op deze manier te verwerken. De kleuren van het onderste ontwerp zijn sterker, kan je dit eens met donkerblauw proberen en eens kijken of het lettertype ietsje minder strak kan. Ook hadden we er graag nog elektrische installaties aan toegevoegd.

Dank voor de beoordeling én de feedback. Daar kom ik verder mee. Ik zal er morgen mee aan de slag gaan. Wellicht ook nog wat andere dingen proberen...
Dit doet mij persoonlijk toch meer aan een elektronica (hifi e.d.) zaak denken dan aan een bedrijf dat elektrische installaties verzorgt. Die eland snap ik helemaal niet zo, hoor...
Enfin, meer V O L g T... ;-)

Ik merk dat er iets tussen de communicatie mank loopt, want jouw eerdere vraag hierover heb ik nooit ontvangen. Goeie vraag trouwens, en ik weet het antwoord niet... Ik ga dit morgen navragen bij de drukker wat voor hen makkelijker werkt. -
