I am looking for a trendy logo for my website "Blackbird 's Jungle Book".
This will be a website where I write columns about (my) life in New York City. Basically, it is an online diary.
The name of the website refers to this:
- Blackbird = Merel (which is my name translated in Dutch)
- Jungle = New York City (in reference to the song Empire State of Mind where New York is referred to as "concrete jungle where dreams are made of")
- Book = collection of stories (my columns)
In other words, Blackbird's Jungle Book: stories about my life in New York City (jungle book can also be seen as a kind of survival guide in this context: how to survive the jungle that is called New York City)
Elements that should be reflected in the logo are:
- Blackbird (or at least a black bird, preferably elegant)
- New York City (recognizable elements, such as the New York skyline, skyscrapers, the Statue of Liberty, etc)
- (Pages from) a book
Somewhere in the logo, the text "Blackbird 's Jungle Book" should be displayed.

Ik heb het geheel op basis van je feedback meer samen getrokken. Ik heb twee versies gemaakt met hele lichte verschillen! Wat vind je er nu van?

Ik heb alle gegeven informatie in dit logo verwerkt. De kleur van het logo is altijd nog aan te passen!

Beste Wouza,
Allereerst hartelijk dank voor je inzending. Ik vind het een erg mooi logo. Mijn enige bedenking zit in het feit dat de woorden en de vogel vrij 1-dimensionaal zijn en het boek en de achtergrond (de gebouwen) meer 2-dimensionaal, waardoor het voor mij niet zo lekker matcht met elkaar. Zijn deze elementen misschien wat meer met elkaar in lijn te brengen (dwz alles ofwel 1 ofwel 2-dimensionaal)?
