I am looking for a trendy logo for my website "Blackbird 's Jungle Book".
This will be a website where I write columns about (my) life in New York City. Basically, it is an online diary.
The name of the website refers to this:
- Blackbird = Merel (which is my name translated in Dutch)
- Jungle = New York City (in reference to the song Empire State of Mind where New York is referred to as "concrete jungle where dreams are made of")
- Book = collection of stories (my columns)
In other words, Blackbird's Jungle Book: stories about my life in New York City (jungle book can also be seen as a kind of survival guide in this context: how to survive the jungle that is called New York City)
Elements that should be reflected in the logo are:
- Blackbird (or at least a black bird, preferably elegant)
- New York City (recognizable elements, such as the New York skyline, skyscrapers, the Statue of Liberty, etc)
- (Pages from) a book
Somewhere in the logo, the text "Blackbird 's Jungle Book" should be displayed.

Hello, I'm presenting you the logotype in trendy flat style design which will fit any modern blog/online diary. I've uploaded a monochrome version and 2colour version which has NY city colors - red and black, I thought it would be great to use NY city colors. I've also shown the way how the logo would look like on a real diary (letterpressed version of the logo), It is always pleasant to have branded diary in addition to the laptop) Hope you enjoy the work!
