I am looking for a trendy logo for my website "Blackbird 's Jungle Book".
This will be a website where I write columns about (my) life in New York City. Basically, it is an online diary.
The name of the website refers to this:
- Blackbird = Merel (which is my name translated in Dutch)
- Jungle = New York City (in reference to the song Empire State of Mind where New York is referred to as "concrete jungle where dreams are made of")
- Book = collection of stories (my columns)
In other words, Blackbird's Jungle Book: stories about my life in New York City (jungle book can also be seen as a kind of survival guide in this context: how to survive the jungle that is called New York City)
Elements that should be reflected in the logo are:
- Blackbird (or at least a black bird, preferably elegant)
- New York City (recognizable elements, such as the New York skyline, skyscrapers, the Statue of Liberty, etc)
- (Pages from) a book
Somewhere in the logo, the text "Blackbird 's Jungle Book" should be displayed.

Beste Berber,
Allereerst bedankt voor je inzending en excuus voor mijn late reactie. Op zich vind ik je idee erg leuk. Het enige wat ik er lastig aan vind is dat de tekst een beetje onduidelijk is omdat het boek 'te schuin' ligt. Zou het mogelijk zijn om het iets strakker en rechter te maken? Wat mij betreft hoeft er niet per se diepte in het boek te zitten. Ik ben benieuwd!
