Design a logo for a new service: lstfnd.
Lost & Found is a new service that's pretty simple. Buy a sticker with a unique code and put it on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, camera, etc. If you lose it and the finder is an honest man of woman, he or she can look your data up on the site and contact you.
The logo will be used in two places: the site and the stickers.
So it's pretty important that the logo is very distinct. It needs to be small (stickers aren't big), but 100% clear. If the service is a hit, people need to immediately understand it's the lstfnd logo.
Company description:
lstfnd is a new company that assumes most people are good. If you find something, you want to bring it back. How often don't we get a lot of photo's on Facebook or Twitter with the question: who is this? I found his camera and I want to return it. These stickers can help.
Target group:
At first it will be the tech savvy, users of electronically devices like smartphones, tablets, ipods, etc. Probably the public transport users as well, since that's where you loose a lot. But eventually, everybody is a target audience.
Colors, favourites and other requirements
No specific favorite colors or anything. We are looking for the "WOW' factor. Not retro, not old skool.

Beste opdrachtgever,
Hierbij mijn inzending. Het thema 'lost and found' wordt gesymboliseerd door een cirkelvormige pijl. Deze start en komt terug bij hetzelfde punt (de eigenaar). Er zit een draaiing in het figuur, aangezien de gadget even uit beeld verdwijnt. Het geheel is opgebouwd uit een enkele lijn. Dit verwijst naar de route dat het object aflegt.
De bedrijfsnaam staat in twee kleuren. Zo worden de afzonderlijke afkortingen nogmaals benadrukt.
Ik heb nu gekozen voor lichte, frisse kleuren in de range van geel tot aan paars. Uiteraard kan dit geheel naar wens worden aangepast.
Het ontwerp is erg eenvoudig. Hierdoor is het ook op kleine schaal (voor de sticker) goed toepasbaar.
Hopelijk sluit het ontwerp aan bij uw wensen en smaak. Aanpassingen zijn altijd bespreekbaar. Ik kijk in ieder geval erg uit naar uw reactie!

De eerste waar ik het 'wow' gevoel van had. De kleurstelling en het logo, eenvoudig doch helder. Deze behoort zeker tot de kanshebbers.

Vraagje. Zou je deze ook in zwart-wit kunnen maken voor ons? Wij willen eigenlijk beide (kleur op de site, maar de stickers komen er in zowel kleur als zwart-wit).

En om ook het verschil in sfeer nog eens te laten heb ik de kleuren bij deze versie aangepast. Ik ben erg benieuwd naar uw mening.

Ik zie net dat de sluitingsdatum is vervroegd. Mocht u nog aanpassingen zien of bijvoorbeeld nog een andere kleurstelling, laat het gerust weten!

Beste Bas,
Hiernaast zie je het logo in zowel grijstinten (dus nog wel met een gradient) als in monocolor. U ziet dat wanneer er slechts 1 kleur wordt toegepast het ontwerp overeind blijft. De bedrijfsnaam heeft alleen geen accentverschil meer tussen lst en fnd. Dit zou mogelijk nog een optie kunnen zijn om te testen. -
