    1. Description by designer ON:

Dwyer is from Dwyer`s snake... the snakes ability of changing their skin and leaving it somewhere is unique..

    2. Roguestreetgear says :

The story behind Dwyer is good. However, pronounciation in Holland is a bit hard. Furthermore, drider is according to the internet: "In the Dungeons and Dragons roleplaying game, driders are aberrations that were formerly dark elves (also known as drow). Driders are centaur-like creatures in the game, appearing as drow from the waist up, with their lower portions replaced by the abdomen and legs of immense spiders. They are most commonly found in the Underdark. They can be used by Dungeon Masters as enemies or allies of the player characters." we definately don't want a relation with dungeons & dragons etc.

    1. Description by designer ON:

there is a villain in every civilian! cv =horsepower

    2. Roguestreetgear says :

well....yes....wikipedia indeed tells us about cv. Nice. the combination between villain and civilian is also good. hmmmm....one of us two is very enthousiastic. The other a bit less....

(In Italian (Cavalli Vapore), Spanish (Caballos de vapor), and Portuguese (Cavalo-vapor), CV is the equivalent to the German, PS. It is also used as the French term for the Pferdestärke, but in French, this should be written in lowercase letters as cv.

In addition, the capital form CV is used in Italy and France as a unit for tax horsepower, short for, respectively, cavalli vapore and chevaux vapeur (steam horses). CV is a non-linear rating of a motor vehicle for tax purposes.[11] The CV rating, or fiscal power, is scriptstyleleft(tfrac{P}{40}right)^{1.6} + tfrac{U}{45}, where P is the maximum power in kilowatts and U is the amount of CO2 emitted in grams per kilometre. The term for CO2 measurements has only been included in the definition since 1998, so older ratings in CV are not directly comparable. The fiscal power has found its way into naming of automobile models, such as the popular Citroën deux-chevaux. The cheval-vapeur (ch) unit should not be confused with the French cheval fiscal (CV).)

    3. ON says

Actually, CV is also the shortening of `Curriculum Vitae`, meaning `courses of life`...But as you gave me really broad explanation of it, now i have to think more about a new combo:)

    4. ON says

What if when we write it like:
C-Villain... The french speaking countries will read it like `C`est villain` which means it is villain, the rest will read it like civillains...

    1. Description by designer ON:

      Kicks starter in motorcycles

    2. ON says

      I meant kickstarter

    3. Roguestreetgear says :

not quite the right word, but also not available on BBIE. Good effort though.

    4. ON says

When i search it on BBIE the name doesn`t appear. But it says on BBIE that `If a trademark does not appear in the Trademarks Register, that does not automatically mean that it is available`...So how do we check it?

    5. Roguestreetgear says :

if you go to, for example the ipo site (http://www.ipo.gov.uk/tm/t-find/t-find-text/tmtsearch-default.aspx) you can search for existing trademarks. Cat25 means clothing. Kixstarter is not taken, but kickstarter is taken. The problem is that Kickstarter is allowed to start opposition if the newer trademark resembles the old trademark too much. This can also be in pronounciation (phonetic).

    6. ON says

Thank you very much for your explanation, i understand the problem:)

    1. Description by designer ON:

      Ludas=You play (in latin)
      dark

    2. Roguestreetgear says :

Ludark feels more like an alien.

    3. ON says

Actually i thought a lot about the word `homo ludens` which means `man in playing` a word by the dutch historian Joan Huizinga. He says that we, humans we all like games (from sport to gambling and so on). Though i could not come up with some cool sound of the word:)

    4. Roguestreetgear says :

good thinking, however the sound must be good too. :) You'll get there.

    1. Description by designer ON:

      Hautecouture+motor

    2. ON says

It can be written :Haute Moture

    3. Roguestreetgear says :

name (and logo) don't have to link directly to motorcycling and clothing. We'd rather have a name that sells a dream (Abercrombie & Fitch, Camel Active, Dior...) these names do not necessarily link to clothing.

    4. Roguestreetgear says :

Names that we really liked but that were not available anymore in the international trademark databases were: Rogue, Jaxx, Bootleg industries, Jeckel & Hide etc. This might give some idea what we are looking for.

    5. Roguestreetgear says :

      Good luck, makes us happy!

    6. ON says

Thanks for your comments, i understand better now.
